The Church of God, Meghalaya and Assam is one of the larger Christian denominations in Meghalaya with presence in a few other states also. Apart from normal Church activities, the Church also runs Primary, secondary and Higher Secondary Schools. It also has a Theological College called the Nichols-Roy Bible College. However, a long felt need of the members of the Church is for a secular college which will cater to the needs of many students mostly from rural areas, who have, for one reason or another, been deprived of a sear in the colleges in Shillong. In its meeting on 22nd July 2015, the Council took a resolution to have such a college under sponsorship of the Church. The Church of God Business Association which is the executive arm of the Church was directed and authorised to take all necessary action to implement the resolution.
